This deciduous shrub is the perfect plant to give your garden amazing colour with stunning foliage and blooms giving you interest from the start of Spring all the way to the end of Autumn. The trumpet-shaped pale-pink tubular flowers bloom in late spring and early summer covering the stems in clusters of beautiful colour. Its foliage emerges at the start of spring displaying a beautiful golden colour which gradually matures to a yellow green. It has an ultimate height and spread of 1-1.5 metres and so is well suited for the middle of a mixed border or planted on mass to create small informal hedging.Â
This plant can grow in full shade, partial shade, or full sun but its foliage will display the best colour in full sun. It is fully hardy so can grow in exposed or sheltered gardens and can be planted in any soil type or pH, as long as the soil is well-drained.Â
