Weigela florida Black and White - LARGE

A deciduous shrub that has superb ovate dark green foliage that is flushed with a purple bronze colour. These dark leaves provide the backdrop to fragrant funnel shaped leaves that appear from late spring and persist well into the summer. The dark green leaves will provide an autumnal colour before dropping for the winter.

It is a tough customer, tolerant of the full range of soils and aspects and if that's not enough it is even happy to sit in full shade.

A great plant for that tough position in the garden that a lot of plants may turn their noses up at, looks great in an informal setting and in a mixed cottage style planting.
