This gorgeous Sweet Violet is a charming perennial, with blue flowers that are strongly scented, they can even be cut as lovely posies for the home.
The semi-evergreen foliage of Heartthrob stands out since it has a large chocolate shaded blotch in the centre of each heart-shaped leaf. Foliage persists best in a sheltered spot in light shade, and can make good, light ground cover in a dappled woodland garden or under shrubs.They also work really well with Hellebores or woodland plants such as Lily of the Valley perhaps.
A carpet of violets makes fragrant ground cover in a rose bed, giving it a spectacular early flowering display leading up to the start of the rose season. Plants are easy to grow, and spread slowly. Supplied in approx 1-2 litre containers.
