Viburnum henryi

Product ref: S25312

Availability: In stock

A rare and wonderful evergreen Viburnum, henryi is prized for its cones of white summer flowers and large, attractive foliage. Strong stems with striking red tips bear elongated glossy, dark-green leaves that remain all year round and contrast amazingly with the bright blooms. The flowers emerge in June on green panicles ranging from 5-10cm in length and open in small clusters with creamy-white petals. These blooms are then followed by red oval fruits that gradually mature to lovely shades of dark-red and black, which are highly attractive to wildlife. A hardy and strong shrub, this Viburnum is well suited to use for hedging or screening and also looks amazing at the back of a mixed border.

Plant henryi in moist but well-drained soil and make sure to place it in full sun or partial shade. This is a very hardy Viburnum so can be planted in sheltered or exposed gardens and will thrive in most UK climates. It can grow in any soil type or pH.

Supplied in approx. 3 litre containers.
