Veronica longifolia First Match

A remarkable perennial, Veronica longifolia 'First Match' is prized for its vivid, elongated spikes of deep blue blooms. Speedwell, another name for this Veronica variety, is a showy early-to-midsummer bloomer that can draw attention to itself in any garden.

Reaching a height of 40–50cm, 'First Match' is colourful enough to stand out in bigger settings but small enough for tiny gardens. Given that its blossoms are so appealing to bees and butterflies, it is ideal for planting in borders, cottage gardens, or as part of a pollinator-friendly garden. "First Match" does best in wet, well-drained soil and can grow in full sun or light shade.
