Typha minima
Availability: Out of stock
Typha minima is a delightful little variation of the more well-known tall cattails that are found in marshes and along pond edges. It is sometimes referred to as a dwarf caterpillar or miniature bulb. This little aquatic plant is perfect for smaller ponds, water features, or container water gardens because it only grows to a height of 40–60 cm.
The tiny cattail spikes of Typha minima are what set it apart from its larger relatives. They are proportionately smaller but just as stunning. These brown, sausage-shaped flower spikes give year-round visual interest, blooming from late spring to early summer and lasting far into autumn. The grass-like, thin leaves give wetland gardens and pond edges a subtle textural contrast.
Supplied in approx. 3 litre container.
