Abelia grandiflora Raspberry Profusion

This hardy hybrid will give you an abundance of spring flowers and fill your garden with fragrance. As you can tell by the name ‘Raspberry Profusion’, this shrub holds stunning double blooms and creates a wall of colour. Blooming from May all the way through till June, this Abelia displays clusters of light pink scented flowers which contrast beautifully against the darker pink sepals. A semi-evergreen most of the foliage will fall in winter but some of its mid green oval leaves will remain and its dark red stems mean this shrub still provides your garden with delicate winter colour. ‘Raspberry Profusion’ has an upright and compact habit with a maximum height and spread of 1-1.5 metres.  Attractive to bees and other pollinators this shrub is perfect to add interest to a mixed border or also is well suited to planting as a specimen container plant within a patio scheme. 

Place this Abelia in moist but well-drained soil and make sure it is in an area of full sun or partial shade. This shrub is hardy so can be planted in exposed or sheltered gardens.
