Agapanthus Double Diamond

Celebrated for its uncommon and captivating display of magnificent double flowers, the Agapanthus 'Double Diamond' is a particularly exquisite cultivar. This small-growing perennial has globe-like clusters of pure white, double flowers that appear airy and elegantly perched on slender, erect stems. Blooming in mid- to late-summer, 'Double Diamond' lends an air of refinement to the garden because of the way its blossoms contrast sharply with the rich, strap-shaped green leaves. This miniature Agapanthus grows to a modest height, which makes it ideal for smaller gardens or for bringing structure to the front of a border without overshadowing other plants. It may also be used as a focal point in a mixed bed or for borders.

Plant in well-drained soil in full sun to partial shade. Water regularly during the growing season but avoid overwatering. Deadhead spent blooms to encourage further flowering, and in colder climates, protect with mulch or move containers to a frost-free location during winter.
