Prunus nipponica var. kurilensis 'Brillant'

This beautiful Kurile Cherry tree provides amazing colour and interest all year round! ‘Brilliant’ packs a punch with vibrant foliage, flowers, and stems. Its toothed leaves emerge a gorgeous rusty brown in the spring, gradually turning green for summer and then becoming a blazing reddish orange in autumn. The delicate open pink-white flowers bloom in mid-spring attracting bees with their sweet scent. Then in winter its bare chestnut-brown branches provide sculptural beauty. This tree comes as a standard and so is perfect for lining paths or driveways in patio pots. However, its striking colours always provide great contrast for cooler toned plants in a border or bed. 

‘Brilliant’ is a very low maintenance, versatile specimen with the ability to thrive in exposed or sheltered gardens. It requires full sun to gain the best colour and can grow in any soil type as long as it is well drained.
