If you want large fruit, and a a beautiful old fashion flavour, this is the variety for you - the taste is exceptional, far surpassing that of any variety bred 'for long supermarket shelf life' that is more often commercially-grown for the plastic punnets in the shops.
This large fruited strawberry, will give you plenty of sweet and very juicy fruit, or chin dribblers as they're known here in the nursery if the children are involved!
This variety is thankfully still commercially produced as major supermarkets are using it to make their jam. Very vigorous, they can be grown in pots, hanging baskets or garden beds. Perhaps try planted in a window box where they'll throw out long runners that will themselves be festooned with lovely fruit.
