Plant in rich, well-drained soil that receives full sun. Plants require enough space to grow to their full potential. Water regularly to maintain an even moisture level in the soil, and mulch to keep moisture in and prevent weed growth. Harvest, usually in late autumn, when the fruits are fully coloured and the skin has hardened. For one week, let it cure in a warm, dry place before storing it in a cool, dark place.Â
