Reliable hardy shrub, deciduous by nature and reaching a height and spread up to one metre.
In spring the new leaves are born and are a red colour, slowly changing to yellow before becoming bright green in the summer any new growth at the plant tips flushes red. From mid to late summer pink flowers in clustered heads are produced and as the summer turns to autumn the plant puts in a beautiful colourful autumnal display.
This Spirea enjoys a full sun or a partially shaded site, it tolerates all soils but avoid areas that waterlog. It is tolerant of exposed windy conditions.
Can cut back hard to encourage fresh growth in early spring and apply a good
mulch of organic matter.
Great plant for a small-town urban garden and a mixed border planting.
Supplied in approx. 3 litre containers.
