Sorbus sargentiana, or Sargent’s Rowan, is a bold and striking ornamental tree, admired for its exceptionally large, velvety leaves and heavy clusters of bright orange-red berries. In spring, it produces flat heads of creamy-white flowers that attract pollinators, followed by broad, deep green foliage that turns brilliant shades of orange, red, and scarlet in autumn. Its vibrant berries provide lasting seasonal interest and are a favourite of garden birds.

With its broad, rounded shape, Sargentiana is best suited to medium to large gardens. Plant in fertile, well-drained soil in full sun for the best autumn colour. It is hardy, low-maintenance, and requires only light winter pruning to remove dead or crossing branches. Pair with Acer griseum or Sorbus 'Pink Pagoda' for a richly textured garden with exceptional autumn and wildlife value.

Supplied as strong bare root trees.
