Skimmia japonica MARLOT is a n evergreen shrub, with dense glossy green foliage and green/creamy coloured flower buds throughout the autumn and winter months right up to spring time. For a dramatic and modern look in the garden or a patio planter it is hard to beat when very little else is showing any winter colour. Come Spring time, the colourful buds burst open in to star shaped flowers with a fragrance that is second to none.

Perfect for planters on the patio, or garden beds and borders, Skimmia Marlot will even thrive in a somewhat shady spot. It does best if kept moist on well drained soil. Forming a fairly compact plant, Skimmia Marlot grows to around 60-80cms in height at maturity. Be sure to plant somewhere where the scent can be most appreciated when the attractive buds burst forward in Spring.

Marlot will impress in every garden, combining a compact habit, deep green foliage, rich flowering and excellent colouration from autumn into spring plus good winter hardiness into a unique and successful plant for a variety of garden situations. It is highly ornamental over a long period.
