Schizostylis coccinea 'Alba'

With its graceful white flowers, Schizostylis coccinea 'Alba', also called White Kaffir Lily or White River Lily, is a delightful perennial that adds colour to gardens. 'Alba' produces slender spikes of star-shaped, pure white flowers that rise above lush, green foliage that resembles swords and blooms from late summer to autumn. This plant is ideal for bringing interest into damp garden areas, pond edges, and borders in the late season.

Plant in full sun to partial shade in well-drained, fertile soil. Planting Schizostylis coccinea 'Alba' next to ponds, streams, or in bog gardens is a great idea because it thrives in consistently moist conditions. Water frequently to maintain soil moisture, particularly in arid periods. Mulch your soil once a year to help keep it moist and keep weeds at bay.
