Sambucus nigra Black Beauty - Noir Elder Sambuca Plant- Large Specimen

The gorgeous ornamental shrub Sambucus nigra "Black Beauty" is prized for its rich purple-black, deeply cut leaf that creates a striking contrast in the yard. From spring to autumn, it is a striking feature because to its exquisite, highly divided leaves, which have a light, fluffy texture. Clusters of tiny, pale pink blooms appear in early summer, adding a bright, lemony scent and a dramatic contrast to the black leaves. The foliage keeps its dramatic appeal as the season goes on by becoming deeper in colour.

With a height and spread of 3–4 m, this deciduous shrub grows quickly and is perfect for adding texture and structure to borders or as a stand-alone specimen. Thriving in moist but well-drained soil, it prefers full sun to partial shade, with brighter light enhancing its dark foliage.
