Cornus kousa 'Satomi'

This stunning specimen tree is a great addition of colour to your garden with two main seasons of interest, giving you summer flowers and lovely spring foliage. In June large rosy-pink flowers emerge with a bright green centre, these are comprised of four ornate petals and stand out amazingly against the dark green foliage. In the autumn the large leaves turn attractive shades of crimson and purple before they fall. Mature trees will produce strawberry-like fruits in the autumn after flowering. Its architectural stems and amazing flowers make it the perfect specimen tree although it is equally well suited to container and mixed border planting. 

 

Plant this is moist but well-drained soil and in full or partial sun. It can grow in any soil type and pH and is hardy so can grow in exposed or sheltered gardens. 

Supplied in approx. 5 litre containers.
