Forsythia are very well know garden plants, and real heralds of Spring, being one of the first shrubs to bloom in the year, adding early cheer after the cold of winter. Tough and hardy, they can stand anything the British weather can throw at them, and will happily sit poised in bud even when snow is on the ground as they await warmer temperatures. Bushy and very well branched, Mikador is perfect as a solitary plant on its own, in a mixed border, used for low hedging or perhaps in a seasonal patio planter, reaching around 100cm tall, and forming a similar width as a round shrub in the garden.

Mikador has extra large flowers of golden grapefruit yellow colour, the growth is compact meaning more flowers closer together covering the entire plant. They come out a little later than other forsythia and last a bit longer. Another advantage is its ability to bloom profusely on one-year-old wood and it flowers as a very young plant. Deciduous leaves are attractive mid-green. Very adaptable, it will tolerate poor soils and virtually any aspect.

These plants are supplied in approx. 7-10 litre containers.
