Leycesteria formosa - Purple Rain - Pheasant Berry Himalayan Honeysuckle

Leycesteria is a shrub with attractive, clean, bright green foliage with hints of red in the new growth. In mid-summer it is covered 4 inch long pendulous drooping clusters of dark purplish-red bracts and white flowers. Dark purple berries are produced in autumn. It is a fantastic plant for the perennial garden or shrub border. Grows best in moist to wet conditions.
