Cotoneaster Horizontalis
Availability: In stock
Cotoneaster horizontalis is a popular, low-growing deciduous shrub, valued for its distinctive herringbone pattern of spreading branches. Throughout the year, it offers changing seasonal interest. In spring, it’s covered with small pink-white flowers that attract bees and pollinators; in summer, green leaves create a tidy, textural shape. Come autumn, the leaves turn vivid shades of red and orange, while masses of bright red berries appear, providing food for birds and a splash of colour into winter.
Perfect for ground cover, rockeries, walls, or slopes, Cotoneaster horizontalis is hardy, adaptable, and easy to grow in most well-drained soils and sunny to partially shaded spots. It’s drought-tolerant once established and requires minimal maintenance, just a light trim to keep its shape or prevent it from spreading too far.
Supplied in approx 2 litre containers.
