One of our most favourite, and probably best value Japanese Acers.

Acer ''Beni Maiko'' (syn. Deshojo) has spring colour that is burning scarlet to fire red, combined with a semi dwarf growth habit that lends itself well to growing in a large tub or planter.

It is an extremely beautiful, sought after Acer that is renowned for its Beautiful Blood Red Spring and Autumn Foliage Colour. As summer progresses the older leaves turn green but the young shoots are tipped with burnished-red young leaves. It's simply stunning and a dazzling addition to any Acer collection, ideal for an oriental style garden or patio planter perhaps, it really deserves a special position where it can be admired.

Ideal for creating a Japanese theme anywhere in your garden. Great in pots or containers, or planted in the ground mixed with other shrubs and acers. The name 'Beni Maiko' means "Red Haired Dancing Girl."

Supplied in an approx 2-3 litre containers, great value for money for a Special Acer.

The primary intended use of this plant is to grow food for human consumption.

There are thousands of different plant species that can be consumed, and our extensive range is no exception. We have conveniently listed a large number of edible plants here. Additionally, we have compiled several articles and handy recipes for some of the plants you are less likely to find in supermarkets.

We always recommend conducting your own research before consuming any plant to understand the various ways different varieties can be prepared and consumed. Be mindful of potential allergies when trying anything new and ensure it is suitable for all who may be consuming it.

Some plants or varieties can also be cultivated as animal feed for livestock, such as poultry, game, and livestock reared for consumption. Again, we advise doing your own research to select the most appropriate plants for your livestock.
