Cytisus praecox albus - White Lion - Broom
Availability: In stock
Cytisus praecox 'Albus', also known as White Lion, is a stunning early-flowering Broom that brings a dazzling display of pure white, pea-like flowers to the spring garden. Blooming in late spring, often as early as April, the flowers smother the arching green stems, creating a soft, frothy effect that brightens up borders and gravel gardens. It's fine, green foliage and airy habit give it a light and graceful presence even when not in bloom.
Ideal for sunny, well-drained spots, 'White Lion' thrives in poor soils and is highly drought-tolerant once established. Perfect for banks, slopes, or low-maintenance borders, it also fits beautifully into Mediterranean or coastal planting schemes. Prune lightly after flowering to keep a tidy shape and encourage bushier growth, but avoid cutting into old wood, as it may not reshoot.
Supplied in an approx 1.5 litre container.
