Cytisus praecox - Broom
Availability: In stock
Cytisus praecox, commonly known as Warminster Broom, is a deciduous shrub that provides an early burst of colour in the spring garden. Flowering from April to May, it is smothered in masses of soft, creamy-yellow, pea-like blooms that cover its slender, arching green stems. The fine, airy foliage adds to its light and graceful appearance, making it a perfect addition to sunny borders, rock gardens, and slopes.
Compact and fast-growing, Cytisus praecox thrives in poor, well-drained soils and full sun. It is incredibly drought-tolerant once established and well-suited to coastal, Mediterranean-style, or low-maintenance gardens. Its early flowering makes it a valuable source of nectar for pollinators emerging in spring.
Supplied in an approx. 1 litre containers.
