Rudbeckia hirta 'Prairie Sun'

Rudbeckia hirta The gorgeous and upbeat perennial "Prairie Sun" is renowned for its enormous, daisy-like blooms with golden-yellow petals that have lighter, lemon-yellow tips and a striking green centre. With blooms that span from mid-summer to early autumn, 'Prairie Sun' adds a sunny touch to any garden and draws in butterflies and other pollinators. It is perfect for borders, containers, and wildflower gardens because of its sturdy, branching stems and vivid green foliage.

For best blooming, plant in full sun with well-drained soil. During the growing season, water frequently—especially during dry spells—but do not overwater. To promote continuous flowering and preserve a neat appearance, deadhead spent blooms. After flowering, trim the stems back to encourage healthy growth and stop self-seeding.
