Producing an abundance of shiny, vibrant red fruits in the summer months, expect these berries to have a deliciously sweet yet slightly tart flavour. Closely related to raspberries and blackberries, this fruit will work well in baked goods, jams and jellies. Growing up to 2–3 metres tall, these plants require a lot of space and should be planted against a sunny wall. However, it can also be grown as a fruit-bearing hedge if that works best. However you decide to plant it, the Japenses Wineberry will make an impressive and unique addition to your garden.
