Rostrinucula dependens - Purple Plume Weeping Buddleia
Availability: In stock
Rarely seen, Rostrinucula dependens i also known as the weeping buddleia and has a similar appearance as a plant to buddleja.
A thriving Rostrinucula dependens grows to 1.5 metres (5ft) in size and blooms from summer to autumn.
Rostrinuculas love sun and the nectar-rich flowers attract many friendly butterflies. Plant the shrub in open soil or in a pot on your patio or balcony where the arching stems that are cloaked with grey-green leaves and brown, flaking bark make a graceful effect. The long, drooping flowers of bright purple-pink appear from August and continue until October, creating a magnificent cascading effect.
Rostrinucula makes an unusual addition to the garden, enjoying a sheltered position where it will always attract attention for its striking appearance. Perfect for bringing late summer interest to borders and exotic planting schemes, or grown as a specimen plant on the patio.Â
Supplied in approx 3-4 litre containers.
