Rhododendron 'Sternzauber', which translates to "Star Magic" in German, is a fascinating hybrid known for its unusual and eye-catching blossoms. Large, star-shaped flowers in a vibrant pink with darker pink specks and a striking black pattern in the throat characterise this cultivar. When contrasted with the glossy, dark green evergreen leaves of the shrub, the late spring blossoms make a striking impression.
With a moderate height and spread of 1.2 to 1.5 metres, "Sternzauber" is a good choice for forest gardens, small to medium-sized garden spaces, or mixed shrub borders. It does well in slightly shaded areas to shield its blossoms from the intense noon sun. It also grows well in acidic, well-drained soil.
Supplied as large bushy plants in approx 5 litre containers.
