Rhododendron hybride President Roosevelt

The attractive and formerly well-liked hybrid rhododendron known as "President Roosevelt" is distinguished by its unusual foliage and vivid blossoms. Even when the plant is not in flower, the distinctive green leaves with a strong yellow variegation on this cultivar give it visual interest. It bears clusters of vivid red flowers with white throats in late spring, which stand out strikingly against its variegated foliage.

This rhododendron is a great choice for borders, woodland gardens, or as a focal point in a partially shaded garden because it usually reaches a height and spread of 1.2 to 1.5 metres. It grows best in acidic, well-drained, moist soil and is best planted in a partially shaded spot to prevent the variegated leaves from burning.

Supplied as large bushy plants in approx 5 litre containers.
