Plant in rich, well-drained soil that receives full sun. Give plants enough room to spread out as they grow. Water the soil frequently to maintain an even moisture level, and mulch to keep moisture in the soil and keep weeds out. Harvest the pumpkins in late autumn, or whenever the skin hardens and the colour reaches its peak.Â
