Pulmonaria 'Sissinghurst' White - Lungwort

Also called lungwort, Pulmonaria 'Sissinghurst' is a pretty perennial prized for its pretty foliage and early spring blooms. This variety features striking green leaves with silvery specks that provide a striking backdrop for clusters of delicate, pale pink to white flowers that fade to white over time. It's ideal for adding colour to your garden's shadowy areas.

Plant Pulmonaria 'Sissinghurst' in partially to completely shaded, well-drained, humus-rich soil. Because it grows best in cool, damp environments, woodland gardens or shaded borders are perfect for it. Mulch every year to help retain moisture and keep weeds at bay, and water frequently to keep the soil moist, especially during dry spells. After blooming, remove spent flowers and cut back foliage to promote new growth.
