The Prunus Nigra, often called the Black Cherry Plum, is a gorgeous ornamental tree that adds interest and brilliant colour to your garden all year round. Its fragile, pale pink blooms, which bloom abundantly in early spring, contrast beautifully with its deep purple, nearly black, foliage. The blooms increase the biodiversity of your garden by drawing pollinators like bees. The rich, dark leaves, which change to blazing tones of red and orange in the autumn, make a dramatic backdrop as the seasons change.
