Poppy - Papaver Mega Mix - Pack of TWENTY
Availability: Out of stock
Known to us all the Poppy is very much a part of the British way of life. It is integral to the informal cottage style garden that is so unique to these Isles and is also engrained in our culture. These days Poppies come in many varieties and will make a wonderful addition to all garden settings and if content will make themselves at home and self-seed, bringing a natural, free feel atmosphere to any growing space.
This mix comes in both hot reds to cool pink colours with everything in between, these flowers are papery to the touch and look amazing when planted in great numbers, forming a large drift of plants whose light flowers will flutter in the wind. They appear in May and June and once over the flowers will give way to rattling seed cases. Poppies are tolerant of nearly all soils but like drainage, they benefit from a good sunny position and look fantastic mixed in with other herbaceous or wildflower planting.
