Pontederia cordata 'Alba'

Known by most as White Pickerel Weed, Pontederia cordata 'Alba' is a gorgeous aquatic perennial that lends grace to pond edges and water gardens. This variety attracts pollinators like bees and butterflies with its stunning white flower spikes that bloom from late spring to early autumn. The pure white flowers are beautifully contrasted with the glossy, heart-shaped green leaves, making for a lush and colourful display.

Plant 'Alba' in the margins of ponds or other water features; it will grow in shallow water up to 30 cm deep and will thrive in rich, loamy soil in full sun to partial shade. To maintain constant moisture in the soil, water it frequently. Once established, this low-maintenance plant needs very little attention.
