Traditionally known for its colourful spring bedding displays, planted along with spring bulbs. There is a beautiful array Polyanthus varities and non no less striking than this powerful bi-coloured coloured plant which produces large clusters of Rose-pink flowers with strong bright yellow centres. The leaves are typical of a Primrose, formed on a rosette they are a striking dark green with a waxy edge and deep venation, providing the perfect platform for the flowers which appear from early winter until the end of spring. The hole plant reaches a hight and spread of up to fifteen centimetres in size.
Polyanthus are tough little characters, happy to grow in a wide range of soils so long as the don't waterlog. They are great plants for containers and just require a good potting compost to sit their roots in. Site them in a good sunny position and remove spent flowers from time to time to encourage further flowering.
The perfect plants for winter and spring seasonal displays, use in pots or hanging baskets and underplant with Tulips. Alternatively, plant in numbers in a bed or along the front of a border. Supplied in a 9cm pot.
