The Pinus mugo 'Carstens Wintergold', a dwarf Mountain Pine, is a magnificent evergreen conifer that changes with the seasons. In the summer, its thick, compact needles are a lush green, but when temperatures fall, they turn a vivid golden-yellow, making it an excellent option for winter interest in gardens and landscapes. This slow-growing pine has a tidy, rounded shape that is ideal for rock gardens, borders, pots, and low-maintenance landscapes.
