Pieris japonica 'Valley Rose'
Availability: In stock
Pieris are elegant stylish looking genus of plants that look perfect in a small group in a woodland or mixed border setting or a single specimen plant in a smaller more compact garden space.
This stunning variety is compact and has shiny evergreen leaves that are pale when young, darkening as the season progresses. In mid spring large clusters of bell-shaped pinky white flowers are produced over the frame of the plant, these flowers can persist for quite a while before finishing.
Happy in partial shade but also a sunny position. It prefers a sandy loam soil and will toil on a chalk substrate, however if your soil is chalky, grow in a container in pride of place on a balcony or patio. Pieris will enjoy a top dress of compost in early spring and a foliar feed a few times in spring and early summer will be beneficial.
Supplied in approx. 2-3 litre containers.
