Phyllostachys Bissetii - Green Bamboo - circa 80-100cm
Availability: In stock
Phyllostachys bissetii is a fast-growing, evergreen bamboo prized for its dense, upright growth and rich green canes that stay vibrant even through winter. Its fine, lance-shaped foliage creates a lush, leafy screen perfect for adding privacy, wind protection, or a bold architectural feature to the garden. Ideal for larger spaces, it makes an excellent natural barrier or focal point in modern, tropical, or Japanese-style designs.
Thriving in well-drained, fertile soil and full sun to partial shade, this vigorous running bamboo spreads quickly, so it’s best planted with a root barrier or in containers to control growth. Water well in dry spells and mulch in spring to retain moisture. Pair with ornamental grasses, ferns, or flowering perennials like Echinacea for a layered, textural display with year-round appeal.
Supplied as bushy plants in approx 1.5-2.5 litre containers.
