An exciting new variety of the exotic staple British Gardeners have grown to love, ‘Chocolate Mint’ is unique with its variegated foliage. The slender sword-like leaves are rigid creating a fanning display of colour, and are mint green with attractive chocolate-burgundy stripes down the centre. When mature enough this shrub can bear plumes of small, fragrant white flowers which are great attractions for bees and other pollinators. This evergreen is the perfect plant for container planting in a patio scheme or when used to frame paths or driveways. It is equally suited to planting within a mixed border adding structure and year round colour.
‘Chocolate Mint’ prefers full sun but can tolerate partial shade. This specimen is drought tolerant and should be planted in well-drained soil. It is hardy so can thrive in exposed or sheltered gardens but avoid a position exposed to cold winds in winter.
Supplied in approx. 2-3 litre containers.
