Petit pois peas are highly prized for their sweet, delicate taste. Usually picked when small, they are considerably sweeter and more delicate than standard garden peas. The incredibly productive "Petit Pois" peas grow in pods packed with these small, luscious green orbs.
Peas 'Petit Pois' are cool-season plants that do not do well in hot weather. For optimal growth, plant them in early spring or late winter in a cool, sunny place with well-drained soil. To keep the vines off the ground, they need support, such as trellises, canes or supports.
