This pear tree is adaptable to all soil types, growing best in moist but well-drained soil, preferring neutral soil. The tree will produce the best fruit when positioned in a sunny, but sheltered location.
This low maintenance pear tree needs just one annual prune. The best time of the year to prune your pear tree will be late winter or early spring. Specifically, remove any shoots which have crossed over or congested the plant, as well as damaged and diseased branches. An annual mulch after pruning will supress any competing weeds, hold down moisture and add organic matter to the soil.
