Product ref: P14001

Availability: In stock

Prized for their glamorous blooms and glossy, deeply cut foliage, these magnificent peonies are held in deep affection by many gardeners - it is easy to see why.

They emerage after Winter in early Spring,  pushing up wine red, mottled shoots that unfurl in to lush handsome foliage that develops large globular terminal buds on each stem, These huge buds burst in to flower in early summer - they are the ultimate luxury for cottage garden borders, exotic planting schemes or as a cut flower for a summer wedding bouquet!

'Shirley Temple' is a much loved later flowering variety than many peonies with very large, pale pink, double ruffled flowers that gently fade to buff-white, above the mid green leaves. The centre of each beautiful, scented flower is full of small, loosely arranged ruffled petals. It will thrive in full sun or partial shade. The deeply divided foliage forms a rounded clump that makes an attractive feature, contrasting beautifully with the pale flowers. This well loved variety is Opulent glamour for your perennial borders!
