Introducing a sensational variety of peonies named Paeonia lactiflora 'Alertie', which carries exuberant, large, bright pink flowers. The blooming period is in late spring to early summer, and 'Alertie' is characterized by large, fully double flowers of soft sweet fragrance, loved by all gardeners. The bright pink petals contrast very well with the dark, glossy green foliage of the plant and bring out an outstanding visual display in any garden setting. Ideal as a border plant, in cut flower gardens, or as a specimen in a container, 'Alertie' thrives well in full sun to part shade with moderate watering to encourage a good root system.
