Paeonia lactiflora - Peony - Alertie

Product ref: P25808

Availability: Out of stock

Introducing a sensational variety of peonies named Paeonia lactiflora 'Alertie', which carries exuberant, large, bright pink flowers. The blooming period is in late spring to early summer, and 'Alertie' is characterized by large, fully double flowers of soft sweet fragrance, loved by all gardeners. The bright pink petals contrast very well with the dark, glossy green foliage of the plant and bring out an outstanding visual display in any garden setting. Ideal as a border plant, in cut flower gardens, or as a specimen in a container, 'Alertie' thrives well in full sun to part shade with moderate watering to encourage a good root system.
"Alertie" is an easily maintained kind to bring colour to any desired spot. It prefers good drainage and loose soil with abundant organic matter for growth. The peony is considered one of the hardy perennials. They come back year after year stronger and more lovely. This one grows so well next to the soft yellows of Iris or the serene whites of Astilbe to round out a garden palette that speaks of spring joy and summer warmth.
