Tellima grandiflora - Fringe Cup Plant
Availability: In stock
Tellima grandiflora, sometimes known as Fringe Cups, is a large, attractively veined, woodland perennial that adds soft texture and subtle colour to shady garden locations. It grows in a compact rosette of circular, scalloped green leaves. Slender stems emerge from the leaves in late spring to early summer, producing exquisite, fringed, bell-shaped greenish-white flowers that softly bob in the air. As the oddly fringed flowers age, they turn from white to pink, creating an interesting two-tone effect.Â
Â
Tellima is ideal for shaded borders, forest gardens, or underplanting shrubs. It prefers moist , well-drained soil and partial to full shade. It is durable, low-maintenance, and ideal for naturalistic or wildlife-friendly plantings.
Â
Combine with ferns or Hellebores to create a layered, foliage-rich display that adds year-round interest and subtle colour to tricky, shady areas of the garden.Â
Â
Supplied in an approx. 1-2 litre container.
