Monarda "Mahogany" - Bee Balm

A sure fire way to attract Bees into your garden is to plant a Monarda, they are highly attracted to bright scented flowers and aromatic leaves.

This variety has stunning wine red flowers that are produced on the end of multiple erect stems that rise out of mid to dark green ovate leaves that have the bonus of being aromatic. The blooms are produced from June until late summer and can be encouraged by regular dead heading of the finished blooms.

Monarda are happy in partial shade but to get the most out of them, site the in a good sunny spot, preferably planted in a few numbers and in among other hot coloured herbaceous plants.
