Few plants work harder at providing long periods of summer colour than the humble herbaceous perennial and this beautiful variety of Monarda is no exception.

‘Pink frosting’ produces globular flower heads on erect stems that are born above dark green foliage that have a minty fragrance when crushed. They start to appear in mid-summer and will continue to flush all the way through until the autumn.

A well-drained fertile soil will keep your Monarda happy and traditionally it would be drifted through an herbaceous border it can also make a great plant to edge a path or sit under a window.

The Monarda is also known as Bee Balm as it is absolutely loved by Bees, so if I want to give our pollinating friends a treat then find a space in your garden for this plant.
