Melissa Lilac is a stunning, large flowered, fragrant lavender, compact in nature with violet-blue flower spikes that rise above the dense mounds of silvery foliage.
English lavenders like Melisa Lilac are the perfect choice for creating a traditional Lavender hedge with the added benefit of being attractive to friendly beneficial insects such as bees and butterflies.
Fully hardy, the fragrant stems of Lavender 'Melissa Lilac' will be loved by all, they can also be cut and dried for home-made potpourri. The aromatic foliage is fine and silvery-grey, setting of the flowers beautifully and thus making it a lovely Lavender for edging garden borders or a path, even perhaps used in planters and pots. Great in a spot where the aromatic foliage will be brushed past, filling the air with an unmistakable perfume.
