Marrow Tiger Cross

The Marrow 'Tiger Cross' cultivar has won numerous awards and is renowned for both its exceptional output and resilience to disease. Large, rectangular marrows striped with pale and dark green give this robust shrub its unique appearance. The fruits can be used in a variety of culinary preparations, such as stuffed marrow dishes or added to casseroles and stews, because of their soft flesh and mild flavour.

Plant Marrow 'Tiger Cross' in a sunny position with well-drained, healthy soil for successful growth. Larger garden plots or raised beds are a good fit for this vigorous plant because of its sprawling tendency, which calls for plenty of space. Watering on a regular basis is essential, particularly when the fruits are maturing and during dry spells.
