Malva sylvestris 'Primley Blue'

Product ref: P25720

Availability: Out of stock

Commonly called the Common Mallow, Malva sylvestris 'Primley Blue' is a pretty perennial that adds a pop of colour to any garden. Large lavender-blue flowers with deep purple veining are the distinguishing feature of this variety, which blooms profusely from mid-summer to early autumn. 'Primley Blue' is a delightful addition to borders, cottage gardens, or wildflower meadows because of its upright, bushy growth habit and lovely, lobed foliage.

Plant in full sun to partially shaded, well-drained soil. During dry spells, water the soil frequently to keep it damp but not soggy. Remove spent petals to promote ongoing blooming. Because of its low maintenance requirements, "Primley Blue" can be trimmed back in late autumn to encourage rapid growth the following spring. Combine with other beloved cottage garden plants like foxgloves and delphiniums.

Supplied in approx 1 litre containers.
