Magnolia Kobus

Product ref: SP23314

Availability: In stock

The deciduous Magnolia kobus, sometimes referred to as the Kobushi magnolia or Kobus magnolia, is a widely prized tree for its subtle and graceful elegance. This type of magnolia, which is native to Japan, is well-known for its early spring flowers, usually occurring before the foliage appears. The star-shaped, white blossoms with a tinge of pink at the base are delicately fragrant and make a peaceful and lovely display against the bare trees. Magnolia kobus is a great choice for a specimen tree in residential gardens or parks because of its rounded, broad form and ability to grow to a height of 25 to 30 feet (7.5 to 9 metres) with a comparable spread. It grows a trunk with several stems over time. Supplied in approx. 10 litre containers.
