Asian Skunk Cabbage, or Lysichiton camtschatcensis, is a visually arresting perennial plant indigenous to the wetlands of northeastern Asia. Large, pure white spathes with a central spadix, which emerge in early spring, are the plant's most famous feature. In moist garden areas, the lush, glossy green foliage that follows the spathes can grow quite large and make a dramatic statement.

Plant in rich, regularly damp to slightly wet soil in light to full shade. Asian Skunk Cabbage grows well in moist woodland gardens, next to ponds, and in marshy places. In particular during dry spells, water the soil frequently to keep it moist. After planted, this plant needs very little care.

Supplied in approx. 9cm nursery pot.
